Taking Down the Hein
I've hated Comic Sans font for a long time. You've seen it; it's sort of cutesy looking, it's fucking everywhere, and people use it all the time, especially when publicizing events benefiting homeless kids, children with hopeless diseases, or youth in desperate need of school supplies. Also, the font is often used in poorly photocopied signs with WordArt text that says things like"Welcome! Meeting This Way!"
I'm glad that I'm no longer alone in my disgust for Comic Sans, and that even the font's designer is on board with the mass movement to stop its use:

Now I feel the world is ready to tackle the next iteration of hein. Anyone want to join me in launching an assault against the hideous Microsoft Clip Art Stick Figure? The one that makes me roll my eyes and recoil a little when I see it, and want to tell the speaker/sign maker that 1989 called and wants its ClipArt back?

P.S.: J.A.C. (and others!) can contact me at: stronglywordedblog (at) gmail
